At TLC Solutions, we recognize that there are people who, for various reasons, may not have access to the same resources that many of us take for granted, and we want to do our part to support them. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their circumstances, and we believe that through our charity, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it. We also want to use our charity to help build a brighter future for our community, and to leave a positive legacy for future generations.
Technolojoy 4 kids seeks to give back to the children and community through the use of technology. We focus on providing children with the necessary skills to use technology to learn, create, and explore the world around them, while also teaching them computer literacy to further their education and future employment opportunities. Our mission is to bridge the digital divide and empower the most vulnerable children to become active participants in their own futures. We do this by providing them with computers, software, and educational resources.
Ultimately, the project aims to promote technology and educational opportunities for the children and community that TLC is so appreciative to be a part of.
Through the purpose of Teach, Engage, Community, and Help our Technolojoy4Kids (T4K) employee-driven committee has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters on three fronts to give back:
1) Donation of lightly used hardware to kids and families in our communities
2) After-school programs designed to engage and teach kids the joy of technology
3) Sponsoring/volunteering to help at Big Brothers Big Sisters events
TLC Solutions is also partnering with BC Tech for Learning; a registered charity that collects donations of used computers and laptops from governments and businesses for refurbishment and re-distribution to schools, libraries, low-income families, and learning-focused non-profit organizations across BC.
